A significant part of my professional and academic activity is related to contract and tort law issues. It includes consultations regarding interpretation of the contracts and also regarding other legal issues stemming from contracts, as well as consulting on risks which can occur within certain situations of tort liability.
I have represented clients in many court and arbitration proceeding regarding contract and tort law issues, including disputes regarding the performance and validity of contracts, as well as liabillity of the parties of the contract. I have successfully represented a client in one of the biggest tort law cases in Latvia.
I am also a co-author of two books published in the Netherlands on Latvian contracts and tort law, as well as the author of several articles in English on one of the most difficult tort law matetrs – liability for damages caused by abnormally dangerous activity.
